Song Meaning of Congratulations by Post Malone

Post Malone started working with producers Frank Dukes, Metro Boomin, and Louis Bell on tunes for his debut album following the success of the single "White Iverson."

While writing, they were motivated to write a song about triumph while watching the Summer Olympics in 2016. During the recording, Post's manager Dre London exclaimed "congratulations," which served as the inspiration for the song's chorus.

The song peaked at number eight on the US Billboard 100.
