Lyrics meaning of Mamushi by Megan Thee Stallion

As with Megan's previous songs "Cobra," "Hiss," and "Boa," the song's title alludes to a mamushi, a type of snake that is mostly found in Japan. Megan is portrayed in "Mamushi" as "regaining her past and letting go of it in order to represent the fame and prosperity she's now achieving,"

Speaking in Japanese, Chiba delivers the opening part of the chorus, "Okane kasegu, orera wa sutaa" in romanised form. This translates to "We make money, we are stars." Younger men use the informal Japanese term "ore" to refer to themselves, which is what Chiba does.
