Song Meaning of Titanium by David Guetta ft Sia

After discovering Sia's music online, Guetta chose her to appear on his album. Guetta told an insider from LA "I was totally amazed by Sia ... This has made me more curious to study her music more because I was really impressed. I have the biggest people on the album and she has a different profile, more like an indie kind of artist and it makes her song even more special, it makes it stand out I think."

When American pop singer Katy Perry was first offered the song, she declined it because she thought the theme was too similar to that of her own song, "Firework".

Perry encouraged Guetta to keep Sia on the song, even though he was thinking of asking other female singers to record a version of it. In the end, Guetta took this advice. Sia then disclosed that Guetta recorded the song without asking permission or informing her that her vocals would be made public.

It made the top 10 in a number of important music markets, including the USA. It became Sia's first and Guetta's sixth number-one hit in the UK when it peaked at number one.
